Office Space

April 8, 2011

A while back I bought a beautiful mid-century desk for a steal at Revival (read my guest post about it on everyone’s current blog obsession Old Brand New), one of my favorite local thrift shops.  However, to date its sole use within this apartment is a catch-all for clothes and bags.  Yeesh.  The problem is that my laptop, a sad old iBook G4 I bought in 2004, was incapacitated and couldn’t be moved without totally pooping out.  So here it lies on the bar that divides the kitchen and dining room unattractively as I sit crouched in an uncomfy bar stool.  Not.  Cool.  The good news? Today I bought a new (old) MacBook from one of my tech-saavy friends who traded up.  SCORE!  And what that means for you, dear readers (among other things) is that now I have a desk to decorate! To get my home office decked out, here are some things I so desperately need!

1) An amazing vintage carrier/briefcase

2) The perfect vintage book ends

3) File tray/s

4) Cute coffee mug to hold pens…or coffee…

5) Comfy desk chair!

That ought to be a start! Good thing my favorite flea market is this weekend! Wish me good thrifting luck! I promise to show you when the desk is complete! 🙂

Love the blue office chair. I’m in totally need of one that does not look like it came from Staples!
