Emily Revisited

January 2, 2011

Much has happened since the last time I shot photos of one of my favorite people, Miss Emily O’Halloran.  In celebration of recording her first record, Morphine and Cupcakes, we opted for a smokey (literally and figuratively), sultry, low-key vibe (see above photo).

It has been about a year and a half since that day when I collaborated with Emily as well as our talented makeup mistress Erin Dudley.  While we are all so proud of the work we did back then, we have decided to take another round of photos to reflect the evolution Emily’s life has made and celebrate our hopefulness about the future of her music.  2011 is so filled with possibilities!

This week the three of us will reconvene to shoot Emily with a more rock and roll edge: casual but rough, slightly avant garde, and powerful.  I thought I’d share some inspiration I’ve gathered for the styling and setting of the upcoming shoot.  These ladies and their tough, sexy, independent images are exactly the models we need! Wish us luck!
