The House Book

December 21, 2010

Retro design is all the rage.  So if the look you’re going for is vintage, then why not dig into the past for inspiration? I was so excited to find this 1974 design book by heralded British designer Terence Conran at a schmancy local vintage boutique but so not excited to see the $60+ price tag.  My thrifting instincts told me to hold out and hope to find it for less and SUCCESS! I found it on Walking Alphabet’s Etsy Shop for the incredible price of $10!  Make sure to check the shop for other cute goodies.

As you may remember, I’m in the middle of redecorating my humble Silver Lake pad so this book is just the inspiration I needed.  The photos are so amazing they were begging to be shared.  Hope you love them as much as I do! xo

Those first two rooms are particularly amazing! I want that red…bed? Go seven-O’s.

That living room with the barcelona chairs—MINE and all those knickknacks in 16 visual puns—also MINE! Alright, I’m asking Santa for this amazing book!
