Though I’m often shopping vintage for my Etsy shop, every now and then there are some thing that I am simply too selfish to give up. Case in point: my recent purchase of Palizzio heels and a Caggiano purse.
The heels were a great buy from Goodwill on Hollywood Boulevard for a measly $5.99! At size 6, they had to be mine! Palizzio was a popular shoe/handbag brand from the 40s, 50s, and 60s…though these caramel colored leather pumps feel totally timeless. I’ll wear them with wide leg, high waisted jeans for fall with a simple bodysuit and a swingy sweater jacket! I’ll probably also try them with opaque black tights and a LBD since I love to mix distressed brown leather with classic black!
My Caggiano purse came from my favorite thrift/vintage boutique, Squaresville in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles. The suede fabric is perfect for fall and the light tan color with tiny logo print makes it so classic, I’ll wear it with everything! Caggiano is an Italian brand and this paricular bag is probably from the 1980s. It fits snuggly under my arm with a short strap and is just big enough for my wallet, keys, phone, and a few key makeup items! All I need!
